"Families are as diverse as individuals. The activities they do together vary, but one thing is true for all of them: "In family relationships love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time." Whether family members get together for scheduled outings, sharing interests, or serving others, these gatherings strengthen relationships that can be eternal."
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Heywood Family Disney Cruise 2012

We woke up bright and early for the BIG day. We ate breakfast at Denny's, stopped at Walmart for a few supplies (mostly Disney) and then made the 40 minute drive from Anaheim to Los Angeles. We all put on our matching shirts (which looked awesome) and started to enjoy all the WONDER that the Disney Cruise brings! We got to the port and got all our luggage out. We went through security and all the pre-boarding stuff and then made our way onto the Disney Wonder. As we boarded the Wonder there is a greeting committee and when we got on they announced, "Disney would like to welcome aboard the Disney Wonder... the Heywood Family!" And the welcoming committee applauds! We had 33 in our group so we were quite a big spectacle.... especially with our matching shirts! We were hungry by now for lunch so we went up to Deck 9 and ate our first meal on the ship. Yummy... favorites among our family were the macaroni and cheese, shrimp (except that you had to peel it) and the bread. There were many desserts to choose from as well as the never-ending ice cream. What a great beginning to a WONDERful trip!
