"Families are as diverse as individuals. The activities they do together vary, but one thing is true for all of them: "In family relationships love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time." Whether family members get together for scheduled outings, sharing interests, or serving others, these gatherings strengthen relationships that can be eternal."
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Christmas Day

Leaving to go to Grandma's!
We gave Grandpa and Grandma a Screen Projector and a gift card to Maestro's City Hall.
The married siblings all rotate names and this year we had Spencer, Emily and Titan!

Brandi and Seth had us and we were so lucky!
They gave us gift cards to Papa John's and Blockbuster and lots of fun treats!
We loved it all!
Now for the Grandkids gift from Grandpa and Grandma.
They all lined up... girls in one line, boys in the other.

All the kids closed their eyes... and then, opened them to see these amazing sleds!

Each sled was personalized with each kids name.

These sleds will be amazing on our snow trip together for New Year's!
And... they won't even have to take turns with the sleds!
My parents always come up with fun ways to give us our Christmas presents.
This year was no exception.  We each got a Snuggie filled with money!
Thanks Dad and Mom... you are the greatest!

Christmas 2010 was great!  We were able to spend it with amazing family.  My parents are always the best hosts and provide such a fun place for us to all hang out!  The food buffet was so good....my favorite meal of the year!  I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life and the best thing is I get to call them my family!

Merry Christmas 2010

Good Morning!
We always start off our Christmas morning talking about the birth of the Savior, the true meaning of Christmas and opening the gifts that Grandma Mag gives.
(This really is such a sweet time with the kids... despite Lauren's face.)
Grandma Mag gave each of the kids an adorable gingerbread house filled with mnm's.  She always gives us such sweet gifts that we are able to pull out each Christmas.  All of these little things adorn our home each Christmas and I LOVE them so much!
Getting ready to see if Santa came!
Here we go...
Paper Jamz... Yes!
Chase said his best gifts were his paper jamz and his DVD player!
Hayden's favorites were her BTR CD and her DS!
Blake's favorites were his tent and his DS!
Lauren loved her tent and her Baby Unca!
Playing with all our new toys.

We had such a great Christmas morning.  The kids kept saying this is the best Christmas ever!  I really think there is something to getting them... quality vs. quantity! I have completely decided that I am no longer buying things just to have more.  It is all a waste.  The kids maybe play with it for a day and I throw it out the next month.  So, we got them things that will last... games, electronics, not a bunch of silly toys that lose parts and that they lose interest in.  We had a great breakfast afterwards of Cinnabon cinnamon rolls, bacon, eggs, juice, hot chocolate...KING'S BREAKFAST!  After that we did have to make one run to Circle K for drinks and batteries.  Then, the kids played all day until it was time to go to Grandma's!  The kids are all at such great ages for Christmas.  I really just wanted to freeze this day- it was perfect!

Christmas Pajamas

A favorite part of Christmas Eve-
opening pajamas!
This was the best we could do.
Same with this one!
Every year Brian draws the Christmas shirt for my family and we all have the same.  The shirt always rhymes with the corresponding year.  So this year it was.... "And I heard him say again and again... Have a Merry Christmas in 2010!" Each family gets their own pants.  (I quit buying pants for Brian years ago because he won't wear them.)  We all love this tradition and look forward to it each year!

Christmas Eve Bells and Singing

Lauren loves the bells!

Singing...."The Twelve Days of Christmas"

Maureen- the ever talented piano player.
No Christmas Eve would be complete without these 2 very important traditions.  Bells and the singing of "The Twelve Days of Christmas."

Grandma Mags Amazing Testimony

Grandma Mag and all her Heywood Great-Grandkids

The highlight of this Christmas was listening to my Grandmas testimony of temples that she gave to us on Christmas Eve.  She also gave us all pictures of the Mesa temple and the new Gilbert temple to put up in places around our home.  She has such an amazing perspective on what is important in life.  We love her so much and I am so grateful for her example, her spirit, her testimony and her legacy.  She is an amazing woman and I am so lucky to be her granddaughter.

Christmas Eve

Fairrington Family- Christmas Eve 2010
The Kids Table
Grandma Mag, Sam, Brandi, Seth and Scott
Michael, Steven, Katie, Justin, Emily and Brian
Maureen, LaDonna, Keith and Grandpa
All the Nativity stars!
Joseph and Mary
We had great Christmas Eve at my parent's house.  It was complete with dinner, desserts,  family, nativity, great conversation, all the many traditions that make this night so special.

All this Christmas Craziness

I am always amazed at how fast December flies by.  All of our fun activities... parties, Broadway Palm (Aladdin), cookie decorating, Temple lights, Christmas music (on the radio and at church), movie nights, sleepovers with cousins, eating out, Maestro's, gifts, shopping... it is all a whirlwind of fun.  Sometimes it can get a little crazy and hectic but all in all it is such a great time of year!  I think the craziness got to the kids just a bit!  Here's to the last night before Christmas!

Our Beautiful Christmas Princess

Lauren- 2010
Lauren was very excited for Christmas Eve.  She was especially excited that there would NOT be an appearance by Santa at our Christmas Eve party.  I told her that I still could not guarantee that he would not be breaking into our home later that evening though.
