Memorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day!  We went swimming and had a BBQ at the Huber's.  Michael even cooked for us and it was DELICIOUS!  Steven and Elizabeth made the BEST rootbeer and onion rings!  The kids had a great time in the pool and of course Uncle Steve played with all of them.  Lauren really LOVED the water.

Blake has gotten so much braver this summer!  He starts swimming lessons in a couple of weeks so I am sure that he will be a pro in the water soon!
Hayden loved the water and is part fish!  She could swim all day long.  We are looking forward to lots of swimming this summer!
Chase had a blast swimming and playing games in the pool!  There were lots of kids to play with so there was plenty of fun to be had by all!
In between swimming the kids would swing on the swingset, jump on the trampoline and hang on the monkey bars!  Nothing like some good outdoor fun to get the kids nice and tired!

Hayden cannot resist the monkey bars!  She loves them so much even though they were the culprit to her broken arm.  Anywhere there are monkey bars- that is where you will find Hayden!
We had a great Memorial Day spending time with family and friends.  Thanks Hubers for a great day.  We had so much fun!  And also, thanks to all the troops out there that have made our freedoms possible!

Happy Birthday Julz!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULZ!!!!!  Now that you are 30 it doesn't seem like we are that far apart in age!!! ha ha  

My sister-in-law Julianne turned 30 on May 11th.  We went to Arriba's for lunch and let me just say that it was......yummy!  Julianne and I have pregnant together every single time (except when I had Blake) and our kids LOVE to be together!  They are the best of friends!  Julianne is a FABULOUS writer and has a great blog!  She is an awesome mom and friend.  We have had some great times together.  And.... we have gone on just about every vacation together!

OWIE!

On Sunday we were at my mom's and Lauren and all the kids were playing outside.  Lauren came in screaming and had this lovely cut on her nose.  Oh well, she is still adorable even with a really messed up nose!  Now, everytime she points to her nose she says... Owie!

Mercedes' Baby Shower

My cousin's cute wife, Mercedes had her baby shower.  She is expecting a baby girl on June 20th.  We had taco salads and fruit pizza and lots of treats.  We had a great time and are so excited for their baby girl to arrive.

My Whole World

These 4 beautiful kids are the reason I love being a mom.  They are my whole world.  They are great kids and they have taught me so much about myself!  (Sometimes that is not such a great thing!)  The day I became a mother changed me so much.  I had never felt so much love, fear, uncertainty, joy, and happiness.  I use to love to fly and go on roller coasters and now... I just hate it.  I have such a fear of being away from these cuties and anything that might put me in danger is so scary for me.  Anyone that really knows me knows how I can become a little panicked and emotional when things happen to my kids but it really is because I am so afraid of ever losing one of them.  I am so lucky to be able to spend my days with these kids.  They make me laugh, they make me cry, they have taught me what unconditional love is!  Thank you for loving me-- I love you more than I can say!

Me, Grandma and Mom

I really have the best mom and grandma in the whole world!  They are both excellent mothers and great examples to me.  I love to hang out with them, they are my best friends!  Thanks for everything you have done for me you both are so awesome!

5 things I love about my Mom-

1.  She never yells.  Never.  Growing up I cannot ever remember her raising her voice to us (and there were plenty of times she should have.)

2.  She gives so much service.  She helps out others all the time.  I will never forget the Santa bags one Christmas when I was 16.  She kept them in the back of her car and I was driving my sister (right in front of the temple by Pioneer park) and we saw a homeless man.  I stopped and tried to give him a Santa bag (inside was a Book of Mormon, socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, some food....) He would not take it from me, telling me that somebody needed it more than he.  My mom always had some act of service that she was doing and instilled that in her children and I am so grateful for that.

3.  Her home is always open to anyone.  So many people over the years have lived with her.  Married kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews! Her home is never empty and there are always at least 5 cars in front!  

4.  She has such a love for the gospel and taught that to her children.  She always follows the teachings of the church and has such extreme faith!  Her answer to any problem is... have you prayed about it, are you reading your scriptures, are you going to the temple... all the things we should be doing and she does them.  She is a woman of faith in every aspect of her life.

5.  She is the most beautiful woman I know- inside and out!  She exercises every day, she eats half her meal, she never drinks soda or chews gum.  She reads her scriptures, goes to church, fulfills her callings, attends the temple, reads all the church magazines, helps others and loves her Heavenly Father.  She is selfless and kind and PATIENT!  

One day I hope to be half as great as my Mom.

Another Tooth...Gone!

On Saturday night, Brian and I went on a date and Mary babysat for us.  While we were gone Hayden lost another tooth.  Before I know it those giant, awkward teeth will be here!
