"Families are as diverse as individuals. The activities they do together vary, but one thing is true for all of them: "In family relationships love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time." Whether family members get together for scheduled outings, sharing interests, or serving others, these gatherings strengthen relationships that can be eternal."
We got back on the ship and headed to the kids club to pick up the little ones that did not go on the Cabo excursion. I got Lauren and Ella and they did not even acknowledge us. They just kept playing. They did not want to go out with us. So, we finally got them out of the kids club and back to the room. All they could talk about was how it was Donald's Birthday Party and it was so good they were in the kids club because if they weren't they would have missed his birthday party. He got lots of presents and he really liked the candy. However, he hated the princess books. They had a great time while we were gone. Blake got to play lots of computer games and do many experiments in the Oceaneer Lab. Blake LOVED the clubs! When we got to the room Lauren and Ella wanted to take a bath so they hopped in. Of course they needed Lauren's princess dolls to play with. I ordered some snacks for them, got them out of the bath and turned on Alice in Wonderland. After about 2 bites of fruit and 5 minutes of the movie both little girls were out. Sound asleep! We had to wake them when it was time for dinner and we took them back to the kids club and the adults and some of the older kids went to dinner. When I went to check on Lauren in the kids club they said she went right to sleep and was still not awake... 2 hours later. Little did I know at the time that would lead to her barfing that night! NICE!
After our fun on the beaches we went back to the La Isla for more fun. The kids were able to kayak, jump off the boat, swim to shore... pretty much anything they wanted to do. The adults were shown how to make salsa on the boat. It was so good. They fed us homemade tamales that were to die for. They had salsa, beans, chips and whatever we wanted to drink! They played music and we watched the kids and talked and just enjoyed the day being together.
We had so much fun on Divorce Beach. The waves and currents are to rough so you can't swim in the water but, there was this sand cliff that we had the best time jumping down. The sand was so soft and just melted away as we would jump. It was so fun... ( I think I was having the best time) and I really was not ready to leave.
The day after Puerto Vallarta we arrived in Cabo. We had to take a tender into the island because the ship could not dock at the port. That was just a few minutes ride and then we had to walk a little to meet our captain who was going to take us out on the La Isla. This boat is made of wood and looks like it might sink very easily. It is a platform with chairs, picnic tables, and couches. But, let me just say... it was the BEST! We love this boat and if I ever find myself back in Cabo I will definitely be back on this boat. It was just our family so it was relaxed and comfortable and we were able to really enjoy the day. It also just happened to be Sheri and Michael's anniversary. Poor Hayden was not feeling great this whole day but she made the best of it... she was a trooper. We got on the La Isla and began to sail out to Lover's Beach. Once we got there it was time to put on our snorkeling gear and jump in the water! Yikes! I hate cold water but it was either jump in and snorkel/swim to the beach or just sit on the boat and watch everyone else have fun so..... I jumped! Brian, Chase and Hayden jumped right in and got busy looking at all the amazing ocean life in the water. We snorkeled for a little bit and then walked down the beach. We even found Patrick in the water and the kids took turns holding him and he even managed to get on Scott's face. Lover's Beach was beautiful and so much fun as we kept walking our guide told us that we were now going to Divorce Beach!
Blake tells me that he wants to mail a letter. He is coloring on paper and then I notice that he is licking post-its. He tells me - Mom, these won't stick! He had licked about 20 post-its. I hope it's not toxic.
Blake was outside watering the plants with Brian and he comes in and tells me, " Mom, I didn't pee in your flowers, the hose did!
