"Families are as diverse as individuals. The activities they do together vary, but one thing is true for all of them: "In family relationships love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time." Whether family members get together for scheduled outings, sharing interests, or serving others, these gatherings strengthen relationships that can be eternal."
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Cookies with Grandma

Grandma and her adoring Fairrington grandkids!
This is such a great tradition that my mom does with the grandkids.  She has them all come over and decorate sugar cookies.  Us moms can go do whatever we want for the next 3 hours.  This year Sheri and I went shopping!  We went to Target... twice, Old Navy, Walmart... twice, and even got ourselves a Peppermint shake from Chick-fil-A.  It was a great day and the kids had so much fun... so did the moms!

Temple Lights

Me and the kids enjoying the beautiful Temple lights.
Afterwards... we drank hot chocolate in the back of the trucks!

We had so many things going on to celebrate the Christmas season.  I am soooo glad that we included the Temple Lights as one of our activities.  Sometimes it feels like we are so busy and have so much going on that the really important things can sometimes get overlooked.  I will have to say that even though the crowds, and the cold and the long drive can sometimes make this activity seem hard to accomplish I am so happy that we did it.  It really is good to show my kids just how important the temple is and to make time to be there... and right now for them that is visiting the grounds of the temple.

Ward Christmas Party

We had a great Ward Christmas party this year.  It was a pancake breakfast and a visit from Santa.  The older kids loved to see Santa but Lauren wanted nothing to do with him.  Lauren has not wanted anything to do with the Santa's she has seen this year and she does not care if he brings her presents or not.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving 2010
These are the things for which I am most Thankful!
Chase, Hayden, Blake and Lauren

We had a really fun Thanksgiving (even though I did not take pictures).  We ate at my cousin's house.  The night before we went over there and made the cutest turkey's out of rice krispy treats and oreos.  We made the cutest tablecloths with handprints and turned them into turkeys.  We played with cousins and enjoyed great conversation.
We are so grateful for our wonderful family and friends, our church and the testimonies we have that our Savior lived and loves us.
