"Families are as diverse as individuals. The activities they do together vary, but one thing is true for all of them: "In family relationships love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time." Whether family members get together for scheduled outings, sharing interests, or serving others, these gatherings strengthen relationships that can be eternal."
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Good Times with Grandma

My mother's energy never ceases to amaze me.  She is always playing with the grandkids.  She jumps the waves with them, builds in the sand and even plays paddle ball.  We love Grandma so much!

Perfect Pool Party

Brock, Kayla, Kaden, Brylee, Tatum, Branson, Chase, Belle and Blake

The cousins love swimming at the Carlsbad Inn pool just as much as the ocean.  What great memories they have made there!

Waves + Water = Wonderful

Brock, Kayla and Hayden catching some waves.

At any point during the day there was some group of cousins boogey boarding, jumping, body surfing, or tumbling in the waves.  I remember loving the ocean so much as a kid.  Now, it is just to darn cold for me.

The Beach Spa

The kids came up with a Spa on the Beach.  They spent hours playing this.  It was so neat to see them come up with a game that lasted so long and everyone was happy playing.  They set up stations and rotated through the different spa treatments.  I had a few other pictures but out of respect for the privacy and dignity of some of the kids I will only post these 2 pics!!!

The kids loved playing in the sand with their cousins.  They came up with so many fun games and activities.  From morning until night they all played together and enjoyed every minute of it!

Enjoying Carlsbad

One of our many trips to Cessy's
One of many trips to 7-11
One of our many trips to Swirlicious!

Yummy Swirlicious!  (I could eat this everyday!)
We have our many traditions when we are in California.  One day we may branch out and experience some of the other sights in Carlsbad.

Back to Cali and back to the Mormon Batallion!

The Mormon Batallion
Blake and Brock

Chase was picked to dress up as one of the men that made the long trek.
Lauren loved the cannon.
Panning for gold... the kids favorite.

Chase pumping water.
Lauren washing clothes.

We headed back to California and had a great time!  We pulled the kids out of school and spent a week enjoying the beautiful California weather.  On Sunday, we headed back to the Mormon Batallion.  Grandma, Sheri, Belle, Brock, Beau, myself, Chase, Hayden, Blake and Lauren had a great time.  The kids really love this place and remembered so many things about it from the last time we were there.
