"Families are as diverse as individuals. The activities they do together vary, but one thing is true for all of them: "In family relationships love is really spelled t-i-m-e, time." Whether family members get together for scheduled outings, sharing interests, or serving others, these gatherings strengthen relationships that can be eternal."
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Happy Birthday Cali

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALI! I can't believe you are already 1. You are such a beautiful little baby and always have a happy smile on your face! We all love you so much! We had cake and ice cream at Grandma's house. We celebrated your birthday on the same night that Sam was getting set apart to be a missionary. What a great day!

Sibling Lunch

On Sam's last day I was talking to my brother. He said the boys were going to take Sam to lunch at 11:30am. Really.... I said. "How about Sheri and I come to and we make it for 12:00pm?" I was headed to a hair appointment and I would be done by then to make it for lunch. Well, it's just for the boys (said my brother) Then I proceeded to say that Sheri and I would be there at 11:30am (I cut my appt. short). We even called my mom and dad and they joined us. So, my 5 brothers, 1 sister, dad and mom all met at Charleston's for a final farewell lunch for Sam. We could not remember the last time it was just my parents and their kids together. It was such a great afternoon and one that I will always remember. Even my brothers were so glad their sisters tagged along. This is how heaven will be except with more of us and a bigger table. My dad always says.... "No empty chairs at my table." I love my family so much!

Brian's Birthday

For Brian's birthday we started out our weekend eating at Olive Garden. After that we went to Scottsdale Fashion Square, did some shopping and saw a movie. Then, we went to our hotel. We stayed at the Pointe at Tapatio Cliffs. The next day we did some more shopping at the Biltmore, stopped at a few antique stores and ate lunch at our new favorite mexican food place in Scottsdale. After that we finally made our way back to the kids. It was such a fun birthday weekend for Brian and I. Happy Birthday Honey!

Ready to Race

We had quite the time racing these fast go carts. I thought I would be super competitive and I was at first. That was until we started going around the track and I realized that I hated when any cars would get close to me, I hated the smell and..... I got carsick going round and round the track. I did one race and then I was done. I did enjoy watching the others race around the track. Brian was a pro! We had such a fun time and enjoyed our last family activity with Sam.

Funny Family Faces

Well... if you can't laugh at yourself... what can you laugh at! We really had the BEST time!

The Boxer

While we waited for our race times we found the most entertaining game.... The Boxer. Basically, you punch the punching bag as hard as you can and the number goes up and up and gives you a score. Of course, the boys were much better at this than the girls but it was so fun to watch what everyones scores would be.

The Last Weekend

I am trying my best to convince myself that it is okay to wear tennis shoes in a place other than a gym. I was just happy I even had a pair of tennis shoes to bring.

Brandi is thinking the same thing about the tennis shoes.
We met up with these 2 tourists along the way...

These were Brian's exact words... "Honey, there's a lot of things you look really good in... that headsock is not one of them."

We had so much FUN celebrating Sam's last weekend with us! We went to dinner at Red Lobster which was delicious as always! Then, we went to K1 Raceway to race cars. We had so much fun celebrating with Sam and enjoying some adult time!
