I am sure I will be getting major paybacks from this post!  I just could not resist.  I really did laugh just as hard while I was posting these pics as I did when I was taking them.  It was hilarious to watch everyone and their pained looks.  Oh yes, this also reminds me that I spent most of the last evening into the next day in the bathroom.  I had the flu and I had it BAD!  Let's just say I was grateful for the design of the bathroom at the cabin.  The bathtub was right next to the toilet!

They did this forever.  Who can outdo the other.  I guess with 5 brothers and 1 brother in law this is what you get!  We don't really see this kind of stuff at home with just our family.  I think because I have girls that seperate the boys.  They had a great time even though a few times I though it might turn into a fight.  Scott even got a bloody lip.  I guess this is the boys idea of having fun???   It was pretty fun to watch!  (ha ha... you can even see Nacho Libre on the TV in the background!)

The best part of it all was my Dad.  He kept telling them to stop.  He could not stand to watch them do it.  I will never forget years ago when they all wanted to play a Turkey Bowl on Thanksgiving morning and he thought it was a bad idea.  He always reminds them they have families to support.

Blake was so excited by the freshness pack that comes in Beef Jerky.  He kept telling everyone that it was poison.  I finally had to take it away because I was nervous he would leave it somewhere and the babies would get it and eat it (then it really would be poison).

We played all kinds of games.  Settlers is always a favorite of the boys.  (The girls don't really like this game because it takes 5 HOURS!)  When you're the mom with little kids this kind of game is not fun!  We did play Scattergories (which is a lot of fun).  Especially if you play with Sam and you want to win.  My favorite quote from Sam which he said many times was.... "Come to me on #10!  ha, ha... We love you Sam!

And read books with Ella, and take anything Ella had and freak out if I held Ella and follow Ella around waiting for her to pick anything up that she could just take away.  I am pretty sure that Lauren feels entitled to everything.  I mean she is a PRINCESS and should be entitled to EVERYTHING... right? (Sorry Ella)

We had a lot of fun at the cabin playing games, eating, talking and laughing.  Our group is big and loud and we always have so much fun!

The next day at the cabin- New Year's Day- we had SnOw FuN!  There was a great little hill right outside of the cabin that the kids had a blast sledding down.  There was just the perfect amount of snow for sledding and having a great time!

Chase and Kaden would be outside for hours.  Sometimes they would have gloves and jackets and sometimes not.  This was definatly a little boy's paradise!

What a great way to spend New Year's Day!  We had so much fun playing in the snow.  The kids did lots of sledding, snowball fights, exploring, and playing with cousins.  What an awesome way to kick off 2009!

2nd Annual New Year's Cabin Trip!

Well, our Second Annual Heywood New Year's Cabin trip definatly got started off with a bang!  Or, should I say a barf!  Chase and Hayden were riding in Scott and Julz's car and Chase got car sick and barfed all over their seat and on Hayden's hair.  They were about 15 mins ahead of us so, when we rounded a corner and saw them on the side of the road we pulled over.  After Julz had already cleaned up the throw up we were back on the road again.  (I should have known then this would be a sign of things to come!)  Oh yeah, and thanks Julz... you really are the best throw up cleaner and toilet plunger I know!  *wink*wink*

After we got to the cabin and staked our claims on our rooms the kids went exploring to other parts of the cabin.  In one of the rooms they found this really nice hot tub (minus the water).  They loved to play in this hot tub and had hours of fun in it!  
That night was New Year's Eve and the kids were so excited to wear their hats, blow horns and pull tons of poppers!  A few of the kids and adults made it to midnight.  We did celebrate a couple of times-  once around 9pm and then again at midnight just to make sure everyone got in on the fun!
